2nd annual HARVEST OF HEALTH was held Saturday, October 21! It was a fun day filled with great food, shopping, education, laughter and entertainment!

On August 13, 2016 Thompson Health hosted "Concussions: What's the Impact?" Over 30 people attended the event to hear Thompson's Sports Medicine Department and CIC Oversight Physician speak about concussion diagnosis and treatment and announce our new accreditation as a Certified ImPACT Credentialed (CIC) site. On April 30, 2016, Thompson Health's Spirit of Women program hosted "Cough. Laugh. Sneeze. Leak?" Sixty women attended the event to hear Thompson's Pelvic Health Therapist, Kimberly Tonovitz, speak about this condition and decreasing or eliminating symptoms. One attendee noted "it was such a good program and got me very interested in bringing this topic up with my primary physician when I have my physical." October 26, 2016 UR Medicine's Thompson Health hosted Harvest of Health, an evening dedicated to women's health! Over 120 women enjoyed a night of browsing healthcare exhibits, learning about digestive issues, stress and fatigue. After a delicious "fall themed" dinner, all were treated to an hour of laughter from national author and comedian Brenda Elsagher!

September 17, 2016: Thompson Health hosted a Hernia Screening Clinic. Over 40 people attended the event to hear Thompson's General Physicians speak about the different types of hernias and what can be done to repair them. After the presentation, attendees had a hands on demonstration of our minimally invasive system and were given the opportunity to receive a free hernia screening.
